CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HOT
YOGA
Instill balance and focus, eliminate toxins, and deepen
flexibility. We practice this yoga in a room that is
heated to 105 degrees with high humidity. The heat is
purifying and relaxes the body by loosening the muscles,
allowing for a deeper stretch. Because it is low impact,
this class is great for people with injuries. Be prepared
to sweat!
LEVEL 1
HOT
FLOW
Our Hot Flow is a Vinyasa-inspired practice that requires
only minimal weight bearing for the wrists. in addition
to all the characteristics of a Hot Yoga class, we will
integrate more breath and flowing movements, making it
the perfect blend of Hot and Vinyasa yoga styles. LEVEL
1-2
YOGA 101
Come enjoy a free
yoga class that is ideal for introducing new yogis to
breathing, meditation, simple asana (posturing), and
relaxation techniques.
VINYASA
101
Learn and develop the fundamentals of a healthy flowing
yoga practice. Fusing breath with flowing movements, you’ll
engrain the basics of vinyasa yoga into muscle memory.
$5.00 minimum donation class. Proceeds support community
events, celebrations, gatherings... LEVEL 1
VINYASA
Form and refine the supportive structure and alignment
within each of the sun salutation’s
essential postures. Vinyasa, meaning to move with breath, is an elegant practice
that will teach you to find stillness in motion and leave you energized from the
inside out. LEVEL 1-2
PRANA VINYASA
Follow your breath through this energetic practice that will keep your heart pumping
and your body moving as you challenge your ability to flow from posture to posture.
A great class for the athletic-minded. LEVEL 2-3
FREESTYLE FLOW
This is a two-hour free flowing advanced vinyasa class
that focuses on inversions, arm balancing, tricky
transitions... Lots of fun! Please speak with a yoga
Union teacher before attending. LEVEL 3+
CORE YOGA
Transform your body; making it longer, leaner, and more supple. We’ve
developed a series of invigorating postures that focus on the powerhouse
muscles of the core. This class tones the buttocks and thighs, and strengthens
the back, arms, and abdominal muscles.
YIN YOGA
Relax and slow down the mind by stretching your body
in subtle floor postures.
In this class we will work
deep into the connective tissues of the body (joints,
tendons, ligaments, and fascia). This type of yoga
practice helps strengthen chi (energy), which maintains
the health of the body’s meridian systems. It is a
calm and simple practice, ideal as a complement to
more dynamic and muscular forms of exercise. a great
class for beginners or people with injuries.
